Welcome to my central core of writing and other projects, or more accurately, the site where all my current online projects are listed. Each project on the left is either a literary endeavor, a web comic, or notes for some crazy invention I am working on. The Archive page is home to the originating books at the start of each series, as well as to specific nonliterary projects online. This way people who are stepping into my writing late can walk back in time, as it were, and read forward.
Shadow and Mist Details the demise of the Cynosure, a penultimate corporate entity devouring itself from within and without. The core of the Cynosure is Earth, unified under one powerful, interplanetary government whose sole aim is to conquer and control all of the galaxy for humankind. Experienced chronologically, the story jumps from planet to planet, person to person, and alien to alien, building details and understanding through the intertwined experiences and actions of the characters, upon which we explore just what it means to be hume, how our society should be organized, and often whether the species should be allowed to continue at all.
Orchid Bizaar The life of Orchid Bizaar, scientist and intergalactic troublemaker extraordinaire, and those people she calls friends, is often chaotic. Hers is a universe of great social complexity and cultural longevity. She and her brother are the youngest members of the Bender Society, a loose affiliation of intergalactic planet hoppers whose members hail from thirteen planets across the galaxy. From the enigmatic bar hoppers who care nothing for politics, to the incredibly powerful world leaders, who have often battled each other for dominance of the thirteen planets of Coven, The Bender Society can be a frightening, unexpected, and deadly mix of allies and enemies for a woman who may well be the smartest hume to have ever crossed the stars. Orchid Inherits the Earth, and subsequently finds herself embroiled in a war so ancient that nobody remembers how it started, why it continues, or even how to bring it to an end.
The Demon (and Other Tales) Take a snapshot look at the life and dreams of Angst Demonis, an offbeat, oddly logical demon spawn who sets out to make the world a better place by helping his friends, rising to power in the world’s largest and totally imaginary Corporation, and generally wreaking havoc everywhere he goes. A feel good story about a demon coming of age, about a corporate role model, about a creature deeply disturbed by all things hume. Other Tales include the experiences of Rider and Violett, and other randomly selected people and creatures Angst calls friend, we quickly learn that, while quite immature for a Demon, Angst has been on Earth for quite a long time.
Dark Matters The intimately detailed story of the near extinction of the human race by a force as yet fully undefined, but whose sudden and unexpected presence leaves a world barren of billions of human lives. Cities are left in ruins, and the laws of physics are altered forever by an event known only as The Storm. The Earth, while still physically whole, has been shattered at a fundamental level, and evidence of this can be seen not only in the massive gravity arches that have burst out of its core, but also from the often subtle changes in physics that have occurred. The result is a world where once stable fuels and propellants often spontaneously combust, metals once thought durable slowly vibrate to dust, and travel across land, air and sea, will forever be changed by the arches. Following the journey of Jynx and ChoCho, two intrepid survivors who navigate a world left broken by an apocalypse, Dark Matters is written for adults, and readers are hereby cautioned accordingly. Currently, Dark Matters: Shattered Earth, is in the Archives, while the second in the series, Dark Matters: Edgewind Chronicles, is in process.
Bit at Large This is the story of an angel named Bit, the youngest of all angels, a personage often ignored by those around her. When all other angels decline, it becomes Bit’s job to save an alien race from extinction. It is also the name of a short series of books now being developed for serial web release. If you look around hard enough, you can find used copies of the first book: an illustrated beginning to what will be, going forward, a growing exploration into lives and deaths of Bit. Currently I am working on the second novel in the series, one in which Bit marries and is with child, and under constant threat from the very people she worked so hard to save during her first adventure.
The Archives As they build up, I will place links to finished books, artwork, projects, creations, and inventions. There are many projects not yet developed that will need to be housed, some of them far stranger in their own way than any of the writing I have currently put to page. Some of these projects are related to my fictional works, some of them, as yet to be completed, are more related to my research into physics, metaphysics, and what I can only describe as strange devices. I will also be devoting an entire part of the archive to experiments and inventions, documenting the outcome of said efforts.
